background leather art by lonnie magee

A native of Oklahoma, Lonnie Magee grew up in the local rodeo arenas watching his father rope calves. He began roping calves for money himself at age 11. Still a roper at heart, Lonnie is always in the market for the perfect rope horse and one more go for the money.
He and his late wife, Joan, raised seven children over the next 26 years. While they raised their family, they built Crestridge Thoroughbred Farm and campaigned their homebred stallion, Accomplished Lover. Lover was twice Oklahoma Champion Racing Thoroughbred.
Lonnie is a registered member of the Muskogee-Creek tribe. Lonnie's leather artwork and custom saddles are in private collections across North America.
Lonnie resides at the farm in Oklahoma with his wife, Lynne, Robin's Love (a gray colt by Lover) and Pete, his Brittany pup; where he creates his leather artwork and operates a small custom saddle shop, as well as writes his wonderful novels of the West and horses.
